Schubert Estate Vineyards are located on Roennfeldt Road in Marananga which is in the North-West part of the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Roennfeldt Road’s ‘Terroir’ shows such great substance and command that its intrinsic worth merits single vineyard bottlings such as Torbreck’s Descendant Block, Greenock Creek’s Roennfeldt Road Block, Two Hands Zippy’s Block and Schubert Estate’s Goose-yard Block. All outstanding ultra premium wines. Surrounding the Schubert Estate vineyards are the internationally valued: Torbreck - RunRig; Descendant Penfolds - Stonewell Road; & Penfolds 707 Roennfeldt - (a remaining Penfolds Grange vineyard); Greenock Creek - Apricot Block & Roennfeldt Road vineyards; Two Hands – Zippies Block. Wine makers/wineries that used fruit from the Schubert Estate vineyards during the period 1994 to 2014 were: Torbreck – David Powell/David Isbell; Standish Wines – Dan Standish Massena – Jason Collins Izway Wines – Craig Isbel Arete – Richard Bates, Schubert Estate – Steve Schubert.
Schubert Estate wines will continue to be produced using all the grapes sourced from the Schubert Estate Roennfeldt Road vineyard as will the wine be made on Roennfeldt Road, Marananga, Barossa Valley. A renowned wine judge was heard to say of Roennfeldt Road that it’s “where the sun rises and sets on Shiraz in the Barossa if not the world”.
